Harm Reduction isn't about labels; it's about saving a life! Overdose is a medical emergency, NOT a moral failure! North Central West Virginia is dedicated to reducing opioid overdose-related fatalities through a collaborative effort involving the West Virginia Drug Intervention Institute, Inc., the Marion County Quick Response Team (QRT), and the Monongalia County Quick Response Team (QRT). This initiative not only empowers individuals to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses using Narcan (naloxone), a life-saving overdose reversal drug, but also includes essential training such as CPR training and First Aid certification, along with Naloxone training to ensure community members are well-prepared to act in emergencies.
